Faith, Is The Answer

When I was a child, I wondered about many things.
Where did God come from; do angels really have wings?
Did God leave His family, and wander around the skies?
Did He finally choose Heaven, to be His paradise?
I was curious about the things, that I couldn't see.
If I thought long enough; I could solve the mystery.
Were there pearly gates, standing tall and proud?
These things I whispered, but never said out loud.
When I was nine years old, the Holy Spirit spoke to me.
He showed me that it didn't matter, how God came to be.
In faith, I learned to trust. I praise His holy name.
In faith, I learned of His love; as Jesus bore my shame.
I feel His holy presence, in the depth of my soul.
He fills me with His love, only He makes me whole.
When I pray and seek His face; He lets our spirits blend.
He is the Alpha and the Omega; the beginning and the end.

THE CROSS
The cross of Calvary, reaches down through the years.
When I think about the cross; it brings me to tears.
Through His pain, He bought me; He was the sacrifice.
He gave His life; He was willing to pay the price.
The cross stands eternal; a beacon clear and bright.
It leads us out of darkness, and into the light.
There is no greater love, than the one He had for me.
As He lay down His life, on a hill called Calvary.

SHELTERED
I go through each day, sometimes weary and worn.
Life's small battles; leave me tattered and torn.
There is one place, where I feel safe and warm.
I lay my weary head, in the shelter of His arms.

He Forgives
In the stillness of the night, God draws near.
He softly whispers, the words I need to hear.
I close my eyes in prayer, and repent of my sins.
He touches my heart; then the healing begins.
My tears fall, when I feel His mighty power.
He gives me strength, to face my darkest hour.
His mercy and forgiveness, He freely gives to me.
He cleanses my heart and soul; He gives me victory.
